Augustana College, a Case Study

With 5 weeks to go before the fall semester started, Augustana College kicked off a pilot program using Degree Insurance to recruit transfer students.

Augustana had 39 transfer commits, and expected to end up with 44 given trends from previous years.

But, 2021 wasn’t a normal year. Augustana saw 11 of those 39 transfer students “melt,” ultimately not enrolling.

Thanks to Degree Insurance, Augustana was able to overcome those losses and ultimately increase enrollment 20%, resulting in a class of 47 new students.
